Disclosure: Third-Party Links

in Ginger & May and our family on September 01, 2012 .

You will see that from time to time we provide links to other websites, retailers or products that we think may be of interest to readers of our website. We provide these links to make it easy for you to see or read about other things that flow from what you are looking at on our site, to provide context for our posts or simply to share lovely things or interesting information we have come across.

There are two important things to say about such links:

Firstly, we can take no responsibility for your use of the websites linked to, or any harm caused by those websites. Please read our Terms & Conditions (Section 4) and Privacy Policy for more information.

Secondly, some of the links we provide (but certainly not all) may result in us being paid a very small commission should you click through and then later go on and make a purchase from that website. This is very commonplace on the internet and makes use of cookie technology.

A little bit about cookies (sadly not the chocolate-chip kind):
There is some information on cookies in our Terms & Conditions and elsewhere on the internet but, in a nutshell, cookies are small files that are stored on your computer when you visit a website. They allow websites to provide customised content such as welcoming you by name or remembering what's in your shopping basket, because the cookie allows the website to know you have visited before. They also allow for the tracking of a visit from one website to another through the clicking of a link and for data on web traffic to be provided to website owners. As you probably know, you can opt out of cookies by changing the setting on your browser, but cookies make the internet a much easier and more personalised place to navigate and without them many functions on many websites wouldn't work
